The Olympics – A golden opportunity for charities

With the Olympics and Paralympics this summer, charities should be planning how they can benefit from the excitement surrounding these huge global events. They aren’t just a financial opportunity for sponsors, businesses, Governments, tourism, broadcasters and media companies. There is a huge opportunity for charities to harness the interest in sport at all levels, as these superhuman athletes inspire people across the world.

The Google stats seem to back this up, with an uptick in searches for sport-related events during every Olympic year. Much like people flocking to the local tennis courts every Wimbledon, we can expect to see people taking part in sporting activities across the country. Particularly with the perfect storm of Olympics, Paralympics and the Men’s Euros all taking place in 2024.
