This time last week, the sun was shining and the team here at Killer brought Brighton beach up to Hyde Park for the Charity Softball Final, and what a day it was. Luckily our deckchairs and parasols provided the perfect place to chill in the shade whilst kicking back with a beer and watching the matches. We were the proud sponsors of the Shield, showing our support and making sure everyone experienced the sugar high from the classic Brighton rock (the candy not the pebble!). All the teams involved did brilliantly, great effort in the heat – they even managed to fill us in on some softball lingo!

We were the new kids of the block and the day itself didn’t disappoint, the drinks were flowing, and everyone was on top form! The supporters were very lively and by the end of the day the giant beach balls were being thrown all over the place, luckily we avoided any injuries! Big shout out to the other sponsors for bringing their A game and welcoming us, Bluestep solutions Coopah running and we can’t forget HarrisHill jobs for ensuring we were hydrated throughout the day! And of course, none of this would have happened without such great organisation from Leo and the rest of the committee, it’s been great getting to know the team over the past few months, and lovely to meet everyone in person. Even the dreary trip back to Brighton that night wearing our fluorescent orange t-shirts didn’t put a dampener on the day, we had so much fun.

It was a great day out and we were super proud to be involved. We can’t wait for the 20th anniversary next year, bring it on!
